What Makes Branson Fishing Different

Clear water. Deep structure. Two very different lakes side by side. Table Rock Lake is a highland reservoir with 800 plus miles of shoreline covering more than 43,000 acres across Missouri and Arkansas. Lake Taneycomo is a cold tailwater running right through Branson. Together they offer bass, trout, crappie, bluegill, and more, all within ten to fifteen minutes of any resort on the strip.

Most visitors never realize how accessible this fishing is. You can wake up at a hotel on Green Mountain Drive, meet Keith at the dock by 6 AM, and be catching fish by 6:15.

Branson Area Landmarks and Fishing

Table Rock Dam divides the two fisheries. Upstream is Table Rock Lake. Downstream is Lake Taneycomo running through Branson and out to Powersite Dam.

Branson Landing on Lake Taneycomo is where most visitors first see the water. The upper end of Taneycomo between Table Rock Dam and Fall Creek is premium trout water.

Table Rock State Park on the south side of the dam offers easy public access to Table Rock Lake.

Indian Point, Kimberling City, and Branson West are all small communities along Table Rock Lake with excellent fishing water nearby.

Bass Pro Shops headquarters is in Springfield, about forty miles north. Their Tracker Boat Center is the anchor retailer for this area.
